Hallo Female - The study announced at the annual meeting of the American Sociology Association in San Francisco, said that compared to sons, daughters apparently more concerned with the lives of their parents in old age.
"The number of daughters who take care of their parents who have frail higher numbers than sons," said Angeline Grigoryeva, a doctoral student at Princeton University and author of the study.
Based on the analysis of data taken from the University of Michigan Health and Retirement Study, Grigoryeva wrote that in an average month daughters give as much time as 12.3 hours to care for a parent. Meanwhile, the sons only provide as much time as 5.6 hours.
"As a result, it is evident that more daughters take the time to parents, whereas sons care for their parents, when there are no more children who care for parents," said Grigoryeva.
This study found that daughters are more caring and the hand warmer communicate to parents. Especially when it is statistically more women live longer than men.
"For homework and caring for a parent or child, there is still a gender gap in the social environment," said Grigoryeva.
